Roto’s commitment to the door hardware and technology sector is reflected in the fact we have a specialist development team dedicated to continually improving our products in this area and bringing new technologies to the Roto range.

The Door Innovation Team has been established since 2021. The idea behind the initiative is to bring design engineers, product managers and sales specialists closer together in working towards common goals. This includes product development and the provision of comprehensive support to door manufacturers.

Tom Vermeulen, Head of Sales and Innovation Door at Roto, heads up the team operationally. “This incredibly close collaboration between design engineers, product managers and sales specialists for the door segment has been happening for three years now”, he says. “It has led to a far-reaching improvement of the Roto portfolio and services available to door manufacturers. We have seen a big boost in customer satisfaction and this has helped us establish many new business relationships.”

Only recently, Tom visited the Roto Western Europe region to support our sales team in training fabricator customers in the fitting of the Roto Solid C concealed hinges, one of a few new door products that have been developed and launched by the Door Innovation Team in the last couple of years. Many of these products were displayed at Fensterbau Frontale 2024.

If you missed the fair, you can catch up with everything that was shown on the Roto stand by booking a visit to our virtual ‘Roto City’. Your local representative can meet you either in person or online and provide you and your colleagues with a tour designed just for you, focusing on the areas in which you are most interested.

Here are some of the latest Roto door products:

Premium concealed hinge
Since its launch, “Roto Solid C” has become very popular with manufacturers of aluminium doors, and it’s easy to see why. Processing and installation has been designed to be as simple as possible, and you can adjust the height from a single point, making fine-tuning of the door very straightforward. End users love the clean uncluttered look of the concealed hinges and will appreciate years of maintenance-free service.

Butt hinges – complete range
Whether you are making PVC, timber or aluminium doors, Roto has a butt hinge to meet your requirements. The “Roto Solid B” range features both two- and three-part models with diameters of 18 and 22 mm. You can choose either a rebate-fitted version or one that is fixed to the sash overlap.

With adjustment mechanisms located in the hinge roller, Solid B hinges always look the same, regardless of the amount of adjustment. With no gaps or “wonky” offsets, your customers will appreciate the consistent, slimline look.

Multipoint locks with automatic locking
Two of our top door lock models are the “Roto Safe A | Tandeo” mechanical-automatic multipoint lock and the “Roto Safe E | Eneo A” electromechanical version. Both of these variants provide all-day security because the door is automatically locked upon closure, with the end user not having to do anything to remember to lock the door.

For your convenience as a manufacturer, we just launched the “Tandeo Upgrade-Kit” which provides you with the ability to easily upgrade a Tandeo lock to full electromechanical functionality. Depending on how many electromechanical models you typically make, this could help streamline your logistics and stockholding.

New solution for double-leaf doors
Our latest standard lever-operated espagnolette opens up new possibilities for you when you supply a double-leafed door. With it, you can make a double door set with a sash rebate height of up to 3000 mm. The new espagnolette supports standard locking patterns and includes an integrated anti-mishandling device.
