If you are using the summer break to review your product portfolio and plan for the next few months, here is something worth considering for your aluminium door range.

Aluminium doors are a premium product, and concealed hinges help reinforce that by creating a clean, minimalist appearance. But what other advantages can a concealed hinge bring to make your life easier as a fabricator and provide reassurance to your customers?

Those are the questions Roto engineers set out to answer when developing Roto Solid C, our concealed hinge for aluminium doors.

Roto Solid C is now a proven solution in the aluminium door market. If you have not yet taken a closer look, perhaps now is the time.

Simple installation

One of the main advantages comes from the FixClick system. The sash and frame parts connect by snapping it into place with an audible click. This makes production and installation quicker, and safer too because you can be sure the sash is securely positioned before adjustment.

Wide adjustment

Roto Solid C can be used on inward and outward opening aluminium doors weighing up to 140 kg. You can adjust the hinge in three dimensions. There is a total of 6 mm of height adjustment available, and this is done via a single point, using the height adjustment module that is fitted beneath the bottom hinge. Fine-tuning the height is therefore simple and you can be assured all the hinges will move together without having to alter each individual hinge.

Easy cleaning and no maintenance

With the hinges concealed in the door rebate, keeping the leaf and frames clean is as simple as it could be. Your end users will never have to lubricate the hinges or think about them again. They will take their door for granted, in the best possible way.

Stockholding minimised

There is no left or right-handing on Roto Solid C. The hinge is completely symmetrical so will work on either side of a door. That reduces the number of components you need to order and hold in storage. Stockholding is also simplified by the fact there are just two colours, black and silver, complementing the vast majority of modern aluminium door finishes.

Peace of mind

With EN testing to over 400,000 operation cycles, tested corrosion resistance to Class 5 and a security level suitable for EN RC2 or the Netherlands SKG** tests, you can assure your customers that these hinges will help to keep their home safe and have confidence in their long-term performance.

Extra convenience

The perfect complement to the Roto Solid C hinge is the Roto Solid turn restrictor. This component fits on the top of a door, is fully concealed during closure, with the arm being the only part visible when the door is open. The turn restrictor is completely adjustable and can be set to a maximum opening of 125º. Convenience for your customers and the protection of a door stop without having to fix anything to the wall or floor, preserving the neat appearance of the entrance area.

If you’re looking to enhance your aluminium door range while simplifying production and installation, Roto Solid C is well worth a closer look.
