Customers want windows to be simple to use. Here’s how you can offer a very desirable ventilation window without redesigning your timber profile system.
For most homeowners today, a priority for their windows is that they must look as good as possible to suit the aesthetics of a modern interior. But if the ability to open a window for safe ventilation can also be made accessible to everyone in the family, regardless of their height, strength or even disability, then you have a window with huge customer appeal.
The “Roto NX | C” concealed hinge side has Comfort ventilation versions designed for timber windows in both Tilt-Only and Turn-Only configurations. They offer you a premium feature that is easy to explain at point of sale.
A story for your showroom
Here is what you can show and explain to your prospective clients:
● The window has concealed hinges, and no handle on the side, giving it a very neat and balanced appearance.
● The handle is located on the horizontal part of the sash, down at the base of the window. Its ergonomic design gives it a very satisfying “in the hand” feeling.
● The handle is within easy reach for almost anyone, including wheelchair users.
● To open the window for ventilation, all the customer has to do is move the handle through 180 degrees. The Comfort mechanism makes this very easy, and as the handle is moved, the sash tilts open, coming to rest with an opening gap of 80 mm.
● The sash is held firmly in place, so it resists being slammed shut by air pressure on breezy days.
● To close and lock the window, you simply move the handle back to the original position.
The operating procedure is the same on both the Tilt-Only and the Turn-Only versions. Both use the Comfort mechanism to positively control the sash movement via the handle.
For cleaning, you can access the fully open mode by releasing the anti-unlocking mechanism. When this is done, the sash can be opened by up to 90 degrees.
Customers who care about design will notice what they can’t see. All the hinging and locking components, plus the ventilation stay, are completely within the sash rebate and hidden when the window is closed. This clean, uninterrupted look suits contemporary interiors and is a strong selling point for architects, specifiers and design-minded buyers.
Size and weights
The two versions have slightly different weight and size limits:
Turn-Only:
Maximum sash 100 kg
Sash rebate widths 680–1400 mm
Sash rebate heights 530–1600 mm
Tilt-Only
Maximum sash 80 kg

As you can see, the specifications allow you to produce a very wide range of windows with standard parts.
Simple to adopt
Both versions are designed for timber profile systems with a 13 mm hardware axis and a recommended rebate depth of 30 mm. If you already use these profiles, you can add a Comfort ventilation window to your range without making any changes to your profile design.
Quality assured
The hardware meets durability class H3 according to DIN EN 13126‑8 (20,000 cycles) and corrosion resistance class 5 of DIN EN ISO 9227 and EN 1670.
