While in Germany to attend BAU 2025, two senior managers from Rehau UK took the opportunity to visit Roto’s head office and production site.
Rehau has been working in partnership with Roto to develop hardware solutions for its new ARTEVO product range. Russell Hand and Mark Gajda flew to Stuttgart, where they were met by the UK Roto management team. The delegation took a full tour of the site at nearby Leinfelden-Echterdingen, where hardware products are manufactured from raw materials and dispatched to customers worldwide.

“Every time I visit Leinfelden, I see evidence of new progress in automation and digitalisation”, said Dave. “It has been great to show Russell and Mark just how advanced our production is, not only with automated machinery but also fully autonomous transport of components to the logistics area”.
The site also features the Digital Innovation Lab, where Roto technicians work on the creation, planning and implementation of new technological ideas. Another key facility is the Roto International Test Centre, which conducts window and door performance, weather resistance and security tests to European and international standards. The Roto test centre has been involved in the testing of new products in association with Rehau.

“We’d like to thank the Roto team for their hospitality and a chance to see all of this at first hand”, said Russell Hand, head of technical and product management at Rehau UK. “Our Rehau ARTEVO system redefines the limits of what can be achieved in areas such as window size, production efficiency, sustainability and aesthetic design. Roto also designs its hardware in accordance with these same priorities, so there is a very good synergy between our teams with regard to what they are achieving. Roto is a strong industry brand with a reputation for quality, as is Rehau, so again a very good match”.

The Rehau ARTEVO system supports floor-to-ceiling window heights up to 2.6 metres, while being up to 40% lighter than comparable profile systems. “It is designed for Passivhaus compliance and for very high ratings in terms of thermal insulation and security”, said Mark Gajda, Rehau UK’s head of technical services and certification. “Roto’s experience in making highly secure hardware that works reliably with weathersealing technology is another of the reasons why we are working together. The Roto team has been very supportive in helping us test and prove our new products. The visit today has been well organised and highly informative”.

“It has been a pleasure to add an extra dimension to Russell and Mark’s visit to Germany”, said Alan. “It is rewarding to know they valued this time with Roto before moving on to visit BAU in Munich. We look forward to continuing to work with Rehau, expanding our partnership and developing more new ideas to meet the priorities of premium window buyers”.
