Last month, Roto Benelux attended the PlusPoint River Event for the second year running. The “floating construction expo” aboard the Blue Rhapsody river cruiser is a way for architects to meet representatives from suppliers of construction products and services at a one-day local event in their nearest city.

The vessel moored in the cities of Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp on three separate days. On each day the same exhibitors, representing over 75 companies, were showcased. The event was attended by hundreds of architects throughout each afternoon and evening.

“Jan Willems and I were representing Roto on the first day in Ghent”, says Letizia Knops, who works for Roto Benelux in quality management and communication. “We had very positive contact with architects. Some of them knew of Roto as a brand, others did not, but all of them found the products we showed interesting”.

Roto NX has been showcased this year. The stand featured two windows, one of which was a Comfort specification that can be titled open and closed simply by turning the handle located on the bottom of the sash, making it easy to use for anyone regardless of age or disability. The other unit was a tilt and turn unit featuring the TiltSafe system, which makes the window burglar-resistant in the tilt position.

“These two windows were designed to show how Roto NX provides the highest levels of security and accessibility”, says marketing specialist Subana Akhmedova, who attended on the second day in Brussels along with Sercan Vural. “We were delighted that the visitors were so enthusiastic about solutions like Roto TiltSafe and our Comfort window”, says Sercan. “Developments like these from Roto can provide real added value for architects and developers”.

Chris Cauwenberghs, head of Roto Benelux said, “Roto works regularly with PlusPoint to get our products in front of architects during their annual visits, where they present each architect with products relevant to their areas of interest. PlusPoint is a trusted brand for architects to get information about building-related products and services, presented to them without bias or sales pressure.

“The River Event, hosted under the PlusPoint name, is a very useful initiative for us because we know everyone attending is an architect. Whatever type of building they are designing, it will benefit in one way or another from using windows, doors or sliding units with Roto hardware systems. The reports from the team on this year’s event are again very positive, so we are continuing to build closer relationships with the architectural community and make the Roto brand known. Thanks to all of our colleagues who helped”.
