Using Roto door locks, hinges, weatherseals and threshold products on your premium doors gives them a high level of functionality and durability to impress prospective customers. To help provide you with further competitive advantage, we have a product that addresses the issue of how to protect the door and any nearby walls and furniture from damage.

“I really don’t like those door stops that are fixed to the floor or screwed to the skirting board on the wall”, says our marketing specialist Subana Akhmedova. “They look ugly – and the ones on the floor can even be a hazard in some situations. Those types also collect dust and dirt. It is important to protect the wall and the door but I don’t think I’m the only person who would prefer a better solution. I am sure that end user customers are going to be impressed by the Roto Solid Restrictor”.
An aesthetic alternative

The Roto Solid Restrictor is a concealed device designed for aluminium-framed doors. It is fitted on the top of the door, connected to the frame and is hidden completely within the rebate when the door is closed.
“This is definitely a better alternative”, says Subana. “Not just because it is concealed. It is also adjustable and it has a damping action, which is much better than the door just hitting against a door stop. This gives a feeling of real quality”.
Fully adjustable
The angle at which the door is arrested can be set by adjusting the slide bar on the frame component. Doors that are openable beyond 90º can also be retained without the need for a floor-mounted stop, with the maximum opening being 125º.
The damping can also be adjusted. All adjustments can be made with a standard 2.5 mm hexagon key. This makes it very easy to fit and adjust, both for factory production teams and for installers on site. The unit is not handed, so the same part can be fitted to either a left- or right-handed door.
Black or stainless steel finish
Depending on the colour of the door and frame, you can offer customers a choice of black or polished stainless steel finish, whichever best compliments the design.
New production or retrofit
“This is a perfect item to fit on all new door production, but it also can be retrofitted”, Subana explains. “So not only does it impress in the showroom, it can also be used to solve issues if you get call backs to a customer who is concerned that their door or wall may get damaged”.
Reliable long term
Roto Solid Restrictor has been tested for 200,000 life cycles, just like all of our door lock and hinge products, so it will match them for durability. When fitted in accordance with specification it is covered by our warranty. Corrosion resistance is to Class 4 of EN 1670, classed as “very high resistance” and suitable for marine environments.
“You do not need to lubricate or do any maintenance on this component, so it really is a ‘fit and forget’ item”, adds Subana. “There are no downsides. If your door is suitable for the Roto Solid Restrictor, I can see no reason not to fit it. The only people who won’t like this product are the makers of floor or wall-mounted door stops!”
