Inwido AB is one of Europe’s leading window groups, headquartered in Malmö, Sweden and operating across multiple European markets. The company develops, manufactures and sells a wide range of window and door solutions, including high-performance PVC systems, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, sustainability and modern design.
Roto recently welcomed Fredrik Meuller, President and CEO, and Claes Isaksson, VP Sourcing and Operations Development, to the headquarters of Roto Frank Window and Door Technology in Leinfelden, Germany.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore the latest developments in Roto’s design and production technology, as well as to further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.
Roto More spoke to Claes to ask what he thought of the visit and how Inwido views the partnership with Roto.
How was your recent visit to Roto’s head office and production site?
“It was a very nice meeting and gave us a good overall view. I had already visited a Roto factory before, but it is always impressive to see how well developed everything is, especially the high level of automation. That’s clearly important in staying competitive.
The meeting itself was also very productive. It’s always valuable to spend time together in person and strengthen the relationship”.
How would you describe your overall experience working with Roto as a partner?
“We see ourselves as being on a journey together, building and developing the cooperation step by step. So far, it has been a very good way of working.
From our perspective, things are running smoothly. We haven’t experienced any issues with logistics, which is of course critical in our operations.”
How well does Roto’s product range meet your needs in terms of quality, innovation, and variety?
“Roto has a very strong and complete product range that covers what is needed across our markets. We can use the hardware to make a wide variety of window and door solutions, all within Roto’s standard specifications. In terms of innovation, we have seen at first hand how Roto is always trying new technologies and aiming to anticipate trends in the market”.
How satisfied are you with Roto’s delivery times, availability of products, and overall reliability?
“The performance is very good overall. The reliability is essential for us, because we operate at scale and need confidence that products will be available when required. So far, we have seen a strong and consistent level of service”.
What additional products, services, or improvements would you like to see from Roto in the future?
“Looking ahead, we are very interested in how we can work together on developing product performance and sustainability further. For us, sustainability is increasingly important, particularly in terms of reducing carbon impact. We would like to see continued development around environmental product declarations (EPDs), as these are relevant for our customers and for the market as a whole”.
Which Roto products do you use most frequently, and what makes them suitable for your window designs?
“For inward-opening windows, we use Roto NX tilt-and-turn hardware, both in face-fixed and concealed hinge versions. We also use outward-opening window hardware, Roto door products and TPE gaskets”.
These products offer the flexibility we need across different markets and window and door types, while maintaining consistent quality and performance. That balance is very important for us”.
How would you describe your experience with Roto’s technical support, sales team, or aftersales service?
“We don’t have daily contact with Roto directly because we mainly work through distributor partners. However, when we do reach out, the response is always quick and efficient. From our experience, everything works well, and we feel supported when needed”.
