Based in the Netherlands, Luten Kunststofkozijnen B.V. is an established manufacturer of PVC windows and doors. The company has built a reputation for craftsmanship and durability since its founding in 1987, growing into a modern family-run business now led by André and Mieke Luten.

Luten is based in the province of North Holland. Most of its market is located close to the coast and so its windows need to be able to withstand demanding environmental conditions, with corrosion resistance and durability of prime importance.

We spoke with André and Mieke Luten to learn more about their experience of working with Roto and our distribution partner Lecot.

Hi André and Mieke. How did you become Roto partners and how would you describe your overall experience of working with Roto?

Mieke: “It all started through contact with Gerry Claassens (Roto Benelux Sales Manager). He introduced us to the product range and the Roto way of working, and we could see that both the products and the company were a good fit for us”.

André: “From the beginning the cooperation has been very positive. In general, we would describe the partnership as good and very well technically supported. It’s important for us to have that level of expertise behind the products, and with Roto we clearly feel that support.”

In what ways has Roto supported you throughout your projects, and where do you see room for improvement?

Mieke: “One important step for us recently was changing from the Roto NX | P tilt and turn system with visible hinges to the concealed version, Roto NX | C. That transition has been supported very well”.

André: “Hans Scholing, Roto’s Technical Sales Advisor, together with our supplier Lecot, has provided a lot of help. He makes sure we get all the support we need, whether it’s technical advice or practical guidance in production. That level of involvement really makes a difference when implementing something new.”

How well does Roto’s product range meet your needs in terms of quality, innovation, and variety?

André: “For us, the quality is very high, and that makes it easy for our people to work with the products. We are located near the sea, so corrosion resistance is extremely important”.

Mieke: “We have not experienced any corrosion issues, which gives us a lot of confidence. The products function perfectly in this environment, and that reliability is essential for us and for our customers.”

How satisfied are you with Roto’s delivery times, availability of products, and overall reliability?

Mieke: “We work with Lecot as our distributor, which helps ensure good availability. At the same time, Roto is always accessible when we have questions. Sandra from customer service is very efficient and knowledgeable. She gives precise answers and really helps us keep things moving”.

André: “That combination of good logistics and strong support is what we appreciate”.

What additional products or services from Roto are you likely to use in the future?

Mieke: “We are interested in the E-Tec Drive system for automated windows. This would allow us to move further into a more premium segment of the market, especially with smart home applications”.

How well do Roto hardware solutions integrate into your current window systems and production processes?

André: “It works very well for us. The Roto systems integrate well into our production processes, and the deliveries are on time. That reliability is very important in keeping our workflow efficient”.

Which Roto products do you use most frequently, and what makes them suitable for your window designs?

Mieke: “We mainly use the Roto NX | C tilt and turn system. It’s very suitable for us because it’s easy to fabricate and install. The concealed hinges also give a very clean and modern look, which our customers appreciate”.

How would you describe your experience with Roto’s sales and technical support teams?

André: “Our experience is very good. If we have a question, we are contacted back very quickly, and issues are solved at short notice”.

Mieke: “Gerry and Hans are both very responsive, and that gives us confidence that we can rely on them when it matters.”
