Roto will be present at the upcoming Polyclose trade fair in Ghent which, following pandemic disruption and a late summer event in 2022, is now back in its familiar calendar position of January.

Polyclose takes place every two years and since it began in the early 1990s has steadily grown to become the number one trade fair in the Benelux region for window, door, entrance and facade technology, with over 250 exhibitors.

At this forthcoming event, you will be able to see and operate some of the latest Roto systems for windows, doors and sliding units in PVC, wood and aluminium.

Roto More spoke to Gerry Claassens, head of sales for Benelux, to find out what visitors can expect to see on the Roto stand.

Patio Inowa wood package

Over the last few years, Patio Inowa has made its reputation as the premium sliding door solution with its patented all-round locking system, exceptional weather sealing and ultra-smooth movement.

“Timber window manufacturers can now buy Patio Inowa as part of a special package that we have created with two of our technology partners”, explains Gerry. “With this package you get the Roto hardware system, a complete set of bespoke milling tools from tooling experts Leitz and a threshold adapted by sill specialists DTS specifically to suit the Netherlands market, meeting all of the latest building regulations in that sector”.

“On the Polyclose stand you will be able to find out just how easy it is to slide and lock the Inowa sash, thanks to our premium ball bearing technology”, he adds.

PVC door: lock, hinges and threshold

“Door manufacturers will be able to find out how Roto provides innovation all around the door with our PVC exhibit”, says Gerry.

“On the closing side, the door is secured by our latest Roto Safe A Tandeo lock, a mechanical multipoint system which engages and secures the door automatically as soon as you push the door shut. Locking is provided by our power wedge security points, which are tested and capable of making doors RC2 and even RC3 compliant”.

Roto Safe A Tandeo can be used to make doors up to 3 metres tall and with its scratch-resistant, corrosion proof coating, will look good on a premium door for many years of life.

On the hinge side are Roto Solid B, from the latest range of butt hinges. “Something you will be able to view up close is the aesthetics of these hinges”, says Gerry. “The adjustment mechanism is completely internal, so you can adjust these hinges in all directions but they always look the same. No height gap between the parts and they are always in a straight vertical line”.

The threshold system will be from the Roto Eifel range. “We can provide the perfect finishing touch to your entrance with our thresholds. Roto Eifel products are designed for thermal performance and weather resistance, as well as compliance with accessibility regulations”.

PVC balcony door

Roto Eifel threshold systems can also be viewed on our PVC balcony door set. “With this exhibit, we show how Roto NX Designo concealed tilt & turn hardware is perfect for balcony door applications”, Gerry explains. “You can give your end clients a tilt function on the primary sash for natural ventilation and also provide the ability to open both sashes like a door. With concealed hinges, the window viewed from the inside of their room will look perfect”.

Aluminium window

Also on the Roto stand will be an aluminium window featuring AL Designo clampable concealed hinges and the TiltSafe burglary prevention system. “Like all our AL range, AL Designo uses clampable parts for a very fast and efficient installation”, Gerry explains. “Meanwhile, TiltSafe has completely reinvented the Tilt&Turn window as something that is always secure even when tilted open. Come and see how just a few special parts added to a normal hardware specification makes all the difference”. Windows with TiltSafe have been successfully tested and shown to comply with RC2 when in the tilt position. “This gives your customers peace of mind about ventilating their homes at any time of day or night”, he states.

“We recommend that window and door fabricators from across the region give themselves a winter trip to beautiful Ghent in January. It is a great way to start the new year by seeing what is on offer at Polyclose. If you have not used Roto products before, it is a great chance to meet us and see what we have to offer”.
